Or indoors chill out in air-conditioned comfort and catch up on world news or International sporting events shown on Sat TV, surf the net using the wireless hot spot internet connection (speed up to 512kbps) or check Maccas wave shown live on TV, meaning you don’t even have to get out of bed to check the surf !!

8 Pole Villas elevated above Silabu salt water lagoon offer a range of modern facilities with superb views. Each villa comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests with upstairs loft, 2 split AC systems (one on each level), central cooling fan, 2 person Spa bath, hot shower, deck shower, phone, Sat TV, wireless hotspot internet and live surf channel of Macaronis, meaning you don’t even have to get out of bed to check the surf!!

The interior of each villa is tastefully decorated with oriental furniture and lined with local hardwood. French doors lead to a spacious balcony overlooking the spectacular lagoon where one can view the amazing marine life that comes alive each night under the spotlights of each villa. A staircase leading from the balcony into the lagoon allows guests to swim from the veranda or be dropped off from a days surfing. A cold shower is conveniently located on the steps of each villa.

The Laut India more commonly known as ‘Indies Explorer’ operates as a mobile extension of Macaronis Resort. During season 2009, Indies Explorer will continue to offer 2-3 day surf charters north or south from Macaronis (inclusive in the package price), allowing guests to spread out and surf a wide variety of other perfect waves

SERVICES AND FACILITIES

Wireless Hot Spot Internet (up to 512 kbps), also offering VoIP phone service. Each villa offers its own safety deposit box and administration offers additional safety deposit boxes, Money changing service and other tourist information.

A Medical Clinic already constructed, to be properly set up in year 2009. A Medic will be available to treat guests for basic injuries or illnesses. Revive Indonesia will also continue with humanitarian projects in the surrounding villages.

The Bar and Restaurant, located on the first floor of the entertainment complex, offers tapped Bintang draft beer, a variety of mixed drinks.

A Big Screen TV (2 m x 2m) in the bar and restaurant provides guests the opportunity to watch international sports and news live as well as showing live surf footage of Macaronis plus a variety of DVD movies and music.

Credit Card payment facilities are now functional through V-sat inter

A Games Room is located on the second floor of the entertainment complex offering two pool tables, two table tennis tables and Table Soccer.

An Information Board situated in the bar provides swell and weather forecasts and schedules for surf excursions to other breaks.

Traditional deep tissue massages are available, great after a long day of surfing – from Mama Eli..

Fishing tackle and diving equipment is available for those who wish to head off fishing or diving (our chefs will prepare your catch at no extra charge).

A Guided Tour of Silabu and Betamonga Villages offering an opportunity to meet and trade with the locals and gain an appreciation of their culture.

Other Activities at Macaronis Resort include island exploring, snorkeling and game fishing. Guests may also choose to rent a motorbike and ride through the various off-road tracks found on North Pagai Island and visit various other remote villages.

How to get there
Macaronis Resort Transfers…
Enjoy a convenient Airport – Resort – Airport transfer service inclusive in the over-all package price. Upon arrival in Padang we’ll be there to great you and get you safely on your way to the Mentawais and back to the airport at the end of your trip.

This service is offered for a one off transfer fee of US$300 Return included in the package price, incorporating 1 hour mini-bus transfers between airport and Bungus Harbor (with surf board bags and luggage), ferry tickets, private air-conditioned cabin on Ambu Ambu Ferry (traveling to and from Mentawais) and Indies Explorer transfers between Sikakap Port and Macaronis Resort in the Mentawai Islands.

Airport Departures / Arrivals…
Mini-bus transfers depart Padang Airport at 2:30pm latest on Thursdays to Ambu Ambu Ferry and depart Bungus Harbor at 7:30am on Saturdays arriving back at Padang Airport at earliest 9:30am (ideal for flying directly in or out of Singapore using Tiger Airways , or on to Bali flying Lion Air or Batavia Air).
