The Banyak Islands are surfable throughout the year but the best conditions are from March to October. With an average size of 2 to 4 meters, it’s more consistent from June to September. From November to March, hopefully 1-2 meter perfect waves in less frequented spots.

You will have to think about a spare leash, fins, wax and a repair kit. For the board selection, it’s up to you, but we recommend you bring a quiver with 2-3 surfboards:

• 6.0" to 6.3"
• 6.6" tp 6.10"
• 7.0" and bigger

You can surf in boardshorts, water temperature is 27 degrees centigrade on average. A top long sleeve remains highly recommended for sun protection. It’s best to also bring booties, the reefs are alive.
